Kristina Pett and Wendy Furman along with one other attorney established the firm in 2002 after having worked together for more than five years at Proskauer Rose LLP. Collectively, we have more than 30 years of combined litigation experience.
The size of our firm gives us the flexibility and responsiveness to meet the needs of our clients in a timely and efficient manner. With less overhead than a larger firm, we are able to give our clients the best of both worlds: the depth and breadth of large firm experience at the substantially reduced cost that only a smaller firm can provide. Our firm philosophy is to assess each case immediately in order to evaluate the most appropriate course of action before incurring significant legal expenses. We recognize that, in certain situations, our clients' interests are better served through creative, non-litigious solutions. When a case calls for a vigorous defense, our attorneys have a wealth of trial and alternative dispute resolution experience. We practice in the state and federal courts at all levels.
Based in South Florida, we handle litigation throughout the entire state and also handle select out-of-state matters. In addition, we provide counseling to our clients in an effort to avoid potential disputes before they arise. We are often asked to give in-house presentations regarding "hot topics", in addition to serving as speakers at industry-wide conferences, such as the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, the International Claims Association, the Eastern Claims Conference and the American Conference Institute.
